Ebook Readers

Do you read a lot? Do you spend a lot of money on books and magazines? Or do you go on vacation and have to lug half-a-dozen books with you to read at the or on the beach? If you do then it's worth thinking about acquiring an ebook reader.

A paperback may cost you 10$, so if yout take six books with you then that's 60$ whereas an ebook reader will cost you between 120$ and 200$, which includes access to millions of books and pieces of writing, lots of which are free.

Most ebook readers are a little bit bigger than a paperback, but just a third of the tickness. The ebook reader can be preloaded with thousands of books so that you never need to be short of reading material. What is more, if you purchase certain readers, you will have Internet access to libraries of material to download anywhere in the world.

If you are an avid reader you will recover your outlay on the ebook reader within a year or so, because electronic forms of books are by and large much cheaper than their hardcopy counterparts. Numerous ebooks are less than 5$ and millions that have gone out of copyrights are now totally free.

If your ebook reader is ready for the Internet and most of them have Worldwide Wi-Fi access, you can go online, browse the Internet and read and send email too. This is a huge benefit as it means that you have a cut-down laptop computer at your disposal for little more thant 100$.

That will save you having to visit an Internet cafe to stay in touch with your friends and family whilst you are on vacation. If you travel much, you will recover your outlay even more quickly this way. The ebook reader is also small enough to fin in your pocket, briefcase or handbag.

Most of ebook readers have a two-tine display, but there are more modern devices that will also display in colour. For example, Kindle has a new device called Kindle Fire for 199$ (still that prifce?) which is a colour ebook reader which will go online as any regular laptop will. Warning it's a tablet not a ebook reader.

The big difference is taht as an Amazon customer, you will have access to over 18 millions books, magazines, films and TV programs. This is the way that these ebook readers are going. They are in fact complete entertainment devices.

Let's say you follow a TV program and read a favourite magazine every week. If you go on holiday abroad, you will be able to watch the program and read the magazine before you get back home. These are quite fantastic advantages from what used to be humble ebook readers a couple of months ago.

Not only that, but say you start watching a program on the bus ont he way home. When you arrive home, your electronic account manager will remember where you are on the film, book or TV progra, and you can pick up from there on your large screen television.
